要 旨
本稿の目的は、デジタル記録の長期保存の要件を明らかにすることである。特に、組織アーカイブズのデジタ ル記録を対象に、真正性の概念と長期保存に必要な処理について検討する。そのため、まず、既存研究において 論じられてきた真正性の概念を整理した。次に、デジタル保存アプリケーションである Archivematica を用いた 実験結果を真正性の観点から分析し、Archivematica がデジタル記録の保存において果たす役割を確認した。その 結果、長期保存の要件として記録管理が影響する範囲および必要な保存処理の一端を明らかにし、作成者と保存 者に求められる役割を示すことができた。また、Archivematica の有効活用には、組織の長期保存に関する政策が 前提となることが明らかになった。
This study aims to clarify the requirements for the long-term preservation of digital records. Specifically, this study examines the concept of authenticity and the processing required to preserve digital records in institutional archives. Therefore, the concept of authenticity discussed in existing studies is summarized first. Next, the results of experiments using Archivematica, a digital preservation application, were analyzed from the viewpoint of authenticity to confirm Archivematicaʼs role. As a result, the scope of records managementʼs influence on and part of the processes required for long-term preservation were clarified, and the roles expected of the creator and the preserver were indicated. Furthermore, it revealed that the effective use of Archivematica is predicated on the organizationʼs policy.
